Disaster relief case files, 1983-[ongoing].

These case files document the application for and reception of grant funds to help repair, restore, reconstruct, or replace public facilities damaged or destroyed by floods or mudslides. The funding may be subsidized by Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) grants. After the application is received, it is submitted for approvals by the Division of Comprehensive Emergency Management, then the State Engineer, and finally, the Disaster Relief Board. If the application is approved, a contract is prepared for execution. The file includes the application, the contract, correspondence, summary sheets, notification of approvals, and letters dealing with changes to the project.
